Lillie Sterny 1868
CDV with vignetted head of a young woman with her hair worn in long curls. Front of card has two thin brown lines around the outer edge, and a very light inscription in pencil below the portrait that looks something like 'Bloer fily'. The back had a photographers imprint, but the surface of the card was torn off over the text, leaving a cartouche and very faint lettering near the top that looks like 'HALE'. Below that is a pencilled inscription that reads 'Lillie Sterny / 1868', though the surname could be something like Stuny or Stemy. If the tear over the photographer's imprint was due to removal of a tax stamp the date could be 1864, though the last number looks more like a scribbled 8. The small vignette is really more typical of the earlier date.
